Pakistan has condemned the use of brute force by Israel against defenceless Palestinians resulting in the death of several Palestinians and injuring many others in Gaza.
“Pakistan calls upon the international community to put an end to the blatant use of force and flagrant violation of human rights of Palestinian people,” Foreign Office spokesman said.
Establishment of a viable, independent and contiguous State of Palestine, on the basis of internationally agreed parameters, the pre-1967 borders, and with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, is the only sustainable guarantee for peace in the region, he added.
The killing of around 20 Palestinians by the Israeli forces in Gaza strip have sent a wave of anger across the world, with condemnations coming from most of the world capitals, especially from the Muslim world.
Tens of thousands of Palestinians, since Friday last, are protesting in tent encampments set up along the fenced border of the Israeli-blockaded Gaza Strip. They are pressing for a right of return for refugees to the villages and towns where their families lived before 1948 in what is now Israel, according to media reports.
